Mahindra Mojo ABS 2019 Review
I still remember that exciting day when I took TD of Mojo. However I also came to know about the low cost Mojo then, that is back in 2016. There were rumors then that Mahindra will launch different versions of Mojo. Thinking ABS would be one version I waited but only to get disappointed as they launched a low cost Mojo as Mojo UT 300. I then settled for Mojo XT 300. However when I took TD of UT, I instantly liked it for its nimbleness but for carb. I always felt Mojo is little heavy esply the Head and everyone would agree as most of them go for light weight round head mods after their purchase. So what if we get the nimbleness of UT and the Sturdiness of XT? Looks like Mahindra had successfully completed their experiment! Yes the New Mojo is the mix of Both XT and UT.
One of our Mojo tribesmen from the Kochi tribe @the_ghost46 was fortunate to be the first few to TD the all new Mahindra Mojo ABS. This is what he had to say about the Mahindra Mojo ABS 2019:
I was one of the few lucky guys who got the chance to ride the new mojo ABS prototype. I am yet to figure out whether its a UT300 ABS with FI or an XT300 ABS without USD forks and dual exhaust. It was a mix of the best of both the earlier versions of mojo.
First impression of the bike was, it looked and felt like a UT300 when sitting on the bike but rides like an XT300. The initial jump of the UT300 (thanks to the carburetor) has been replaced with the linear and steady power delivery of the XT300.
The bike felt more refined and I bet this has a better fuel efficiency, courtesy the fuel injection!
The top speed of the bike should be better than the older versions as the bike is more lighter and the power to weight ratio would've changed. (couldn't test the top speed)
The highlight of the bike is obviously the brakes. I was not expecting too much from the Bybres as I loved the Jjuans mojo first had. But little did I know that I was in for a surprise! The ABS was just on point and it stopped better than most of the 250-500cc segment bikes out there.
Being a prototype, it obviously wasn't the finished product and there were some finishing work left on the bike. However, from what I got to experience, all I can say is that the new Mojo has just gotten better and I am in love with the Mojo once again.
I'll surely miss the USD forks and the dual exhaust but as some wise guy once said, "you'll have to loose something to gain something".
Thanks for the read guys,
Ride hard, Ride safe.
